Who We Are

Impressions in Art opened its doors in Wexford, June of 1995. Believing that everyone has the ability to make beautiful artwork, we strive to give students the necessary skills to succeed.  We invest much time and energy into making sure every child knows that they are important to us and that they are talented.

We are extremely proud of our program which is centered on skill building and individualized instruction. Our step-by-step approach focuses on imitation of work by other artists and has produced many amazing results.

Many students are turning out original artwork and several are even selling their work.  Our other teachers are talented artists who we find to be exceptional at sharing art with children.

Our Program

Our program utilizes a step-by-step, individual approach to teaching students the necessary skills for success in art.

Younger students are taught to draw with their teacher. Older students work from line drawings, other artwork, photos, and eventually from life as they move through the curriculum. Each drawing is the foundation for work in colored pencils, pastels, oil pastels, acrylics, and water colors.

Advanced students may also work in oils. Our curriculum creates artists who are very strong in technique and extremely creative.

Art Classes

The art classes that we offer art designed to instruct students in the basics of art. We work individually with each student.

Students are divided into groups according to their age. We offer approximately a one to eight teacher to student ratio, depending on class size.
